Mr. Williams is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with specialist expertise in all aspects of routine, complex and revision hip and knee replacement surgery. After qualifying from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Medical Colleges and a period of basic surgical training in London and South Wales, he successfully completed his higher surgical training at the prestigious University College London Hospital (UCLH) orthopaedic rotation in Central London. He then completed the British Orthopaedic Association Hip Fellowship and Advanced Cardiff Knee Fellowship programs to enhance his expertise in hip and knee surgery. He enjoys an established and substantial high volume orthopaedic hip and knee practice serving the people of West Wales and further afield.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Williams holds a Masters in Surgical Education (MEd) from Imperial College London and a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) in Clinical Leadership and Innovation. These additional qualifications are reflected in his interest in the development of the provision of surgical education and his appointment as a Royal College of Surgeons of England representative and tutor.
Mr. Williams is also committed to clinical research and publishes widely in specialist peer review journals and presents both nationally and internationally.
As a fluent Welsh-speaking Welshman, Mr. Williams has an in-depth understanding of the local culture and is proud of the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients in either English or Welsh.
