I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist who works with children, young people and their families.
Prior to becoming a Clinical Psychologist, I was a Special Needs Teacher working with children with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.
I qualified with the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2011 from Southampton University.
I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). This means I adhere to the highest of standards.
Since then, I have worked in the NHS in a Child and Adolescent Learning Disabilities Team, as well as in a Child and Adolescent Looked after Child Service.
I specialise in working with children and young people (age 0-18 years) with mental health and behaviour problems, often arising from childhood trauma or disrupted attachment. I can link in with professionals already involved with the child and family, such as Consultant Psychiatrists and schools to ensure a well rounded intervention.
I enjoy providing children, young people and their families a high quality, friendly and accessible service using evidence based therapies.
