About me

Mr. Mo Akhavani is one of the UK’s leading Consultant Plastic Surgeons with over 12 years extensive experience in cosmetic, hand and reconstructive surgery. He is on the GMC specialist register and is a member of BAPRAS, BSSH and BAAPS.

Mr. Akhavani's NHS practice is mainly hand surgery, skin cancer management and general plastic surgery. In the private sector he has expertise in breast augmentation, breast reduction, minimal scar gynaecomastia, body contouring after weight loss, abdominoplasty, prominent ear correction, facial surgery including facelift and gynaecological rejuvenation. He is one of the few plastic surgeons in the United Kingdom to hold both the British and European diplomas in Hand Surgery. He has over 30 peer reviewed publications, won several academic prizes and was awarded the esteemed Hunterian Professorship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England for his pioneering Doctorate of Medicine (MD) research in plastic surgery.

Having studied medicine in London, Mr. Akhavani completed his plastic surgery training in London, Manchester, Toronto, Houston, Miami, Shreveport and New York; working with some of the leading plastic surgeons in the world, mastering the latest surgical innovations and techniques. Outside medicine, Mr Akhavani is a keen cricketer and boxer. He is an official doctor for the Amateur Boxing Association of England and provides medical services to boxing clubs in and around London.
