About us

James qualified from The Royal Free School of Medicine in 2000 and completed basic surgical training on The Royal Free/Stanmore rotation in London. He undertook Orthopaedic Specialty training on the Southwest Thames rotation and was awarded his CCT in 2014.

Having gained invaluable experience from regional centres of excellence at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and St. Georges Hospital, London, he was then awarded two world-renowned fellowships in Brisbane, Australia. The first year, with Dr Bill Donnelly, was dedicated to hip and knee joint replacement (arthroplasty) including cutting edge techniques that utilise both computer-assisted and robotic surgery. This was followed in 2015 by a year with Dr Peter Myers, one of the world's pre-eminent knee and sports surgeons, refining his techniques in ligament reconstruction, cartilage/meniscus repair techniques including meniscal transplantation and joint replacement surgery.
