About me

Mr Jonathan Bernstein MD MBChB FRCS is a consultant in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare, The Cromwell Hospital and The Royal Marsden. His surgical subspecialisation is in head & neck surgery, thyroid cancer surgery and goitre, salivary gland surgery, neck lumps, and routine ear, nose and throat conditions.

From London originally, he qualified at Bristol in 2002 and trained in Bristol, Manchester and Toronto. After completing training, Mr Bernstein undertook a three-year comprehensive fellowship programme in head and neck surgical oncology, endocrine head and neck surgery and reconstructive microsurgery at the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, University of Toronto, based at Toronto General and Mount Sinai Hospitals, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre for three years.

Mr Bernstein is Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. He completed a two-year period of translational research at the Christie cancer centre and was granted a doctorate in cancer biology by the University of Manchester. He has undertaken research in clinical outcomes, surgical technology, cancer biomarkers, and functional MRI.
