About me

After completing my training in general dermatology at Oxford and Manchester I undertook fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at University of California Los Angeles. Following this, I worked as a Mohs surgeon at UCLA for a further12 months before returning to the UK and setting up the Mohs Surgery service in Manchester. I have been a Consultant sine 1994 and have performed in excess of 12 thousand Mohs cases, making me the most experienced Mohs surgeon in the UK. I am a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), which is the leading professional Mohs surgery association in the world. I am a Senior NHS hospital Consultant, engaged in education and training of all aspects of dermatological surgery on our teaching program. I am the lead author on the national guidelines for the management of basal cell carcinoma.
