About me

I qualified from the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1981 and my early training was in South Wales and Exeter. I undertook two years of research in Cardiff to gain my higher degree. I spent two years in Minneapolis and St Paul in Minnesota USA, training in colorectal surgery, before returning to the UK to take up a Lecturers post at the University of Birmingham for 3 years, prior to appointment as a colorectal surgeon at New Cross hospital Wolverhampton. I have been lead clinician for Colorectal Cancer for many years and perform over 40 resections for cancer a year as well as many other bowel resections. I have wide experience of the management of diseases of the large bowel and anus.
