About me

Karan qualified from The University of The West of England with a First Class Hons Degree in Physiotherapy in 2006. She is a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

She is Head Physiotherapist for the Academy players at Swindon Town Football Club. She works at SK Physiotherapy and also in The National Health Service as a Senior Physiotherapist within the outpatient musculoskeletal department of The Great Western Hospital

Karan has further specialist skills within lower limb amputee and prosthetic rehabilitation. Other interests include sport injury rehabilitation especially of the lower limb, and she has gained extra qualifications in Acupuncture.

Karan has attended training run by the FA on Advanced Resuscitation & Emergency Aid. This allows her to manage the pre hospitalisation care of an acutely ill or injured athlete in a sporting environment.

Furthermore Karan studied at the highly prestigious and world acclaimed Royal Ballet School in London from the age of 11 until she was 19. Her experiences of sporting injuries led her to become a physiotherapist and she loves working with dancers to restore them to full fitness through physiotherapy and body conditioning.

She has also gained ITEC qualifications in Gym and Fitness Instruction and Sports Massage and has an extensive and underpinning knowledge of exercise, and body conditioning.
