About me

Rob Baskind is a Consutlant Psychiatrist. He studied Medicine at the University of Birmingham and graduated with MBChB in 2001.

Rob trained in psychiatry in the Yorkshire region, becoming a consultant in 2008 working for Leeds Partnerships NHS Trust.

Rob is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists . He is up to date with Appraisal in accordance with the General Medical Council regulations and he was revalidated with license to practise in 2015.

Rob gained extensive experience working in acute and community psychiatry and also prison settings, assessing and managing all common mental health conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, personality disorder, psychosis and PTSD. He has also acted as an expert witness having provided many Legal Court Reports.

Within the NHS, Rob worked at Leeds adult prisons between 2008-2016 providing the sole psychiatrist input to 2 large prisons, and during that time developed an ADHD pathway in the prisons.

Rob developed a specialist interest in Adult ADHD and gained specialist training in this area in February 2011, and in August 2011, Rob developed an Adult ADHD NHS service in Leeds which he continues to act as the Consultant Psychiatrist and the Clincial Lead. Rob has also taken part in several large research trials in ADHD, including looking at the prevalence in general psychiatry clinics, and the cognitive deficits in adults with ADHD.
