He completed Basic Surgical Training in the Northwest region (Liverpool & Blackpool) and gained experience in Cardiothoracic surgery, Organ Transplantation, General/Colorectal/Vascular surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Ear, Nose & Throat surgery (ENT).
He gained a vast experience and expertise in Adult & Paediatric ENT surgery through his Specialist Surgical Training in Scotland (Dundee, Kirkcaldy & Aberdeen) and Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford, Halifax/Huddersfield). Between 2008 and 2012, Mr Miah gained Specialist ENT experience through an excellent training from the Academic ENT-Head & Neck surgery Department in Ninewells Hospital (Dundee), Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy & Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. As a consultant, he continues to teach undergraduate students and doctors of all levels including specialist ENT surgical trainees.
Besides his clinical roles and activities, Mr Miah is actively involved in research into ENT conditions, especially ear disorders in adults and children.
