About me
I achieved a Foundation in Transpersonal counselling at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in 1996 and then a diploma in Person Centred Counselling from the Metanoia Institute, in 2004. Since then I have continued to build on my experience attending various courses and would describe myself as Integrative in my approach.
I am accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Previous Roles:
Working in private practice for over 10 years.
Counsellor for the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) framework, working in GP practices.
One to one and group supervision for teachers and teaching staff.
Workplace counselling and conducting assessments with Employee Assistance Programmes.
Counsellor for The Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Charity, working with women and children both one to one and in groups.
Counsellor for The London Rape Crisis Centre.
Prior to working as a counsellor I gained a BA in Art History at Sussex University and worked for the Tate Gallery for several years and then in publishing as an administrator.
My early years as a counsellor were in London then in 2010 I moved to the Thanet coast and have since been working in Broadstairs and Canterbury.
