This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

Miss Faye Mellington read Medicine at Oxford University and graduated with degrees in Medicine and Physiological Sciences (First class) winning several prizes and awards. After initial experience in Emergency Medicine in Australia, and Anatomy Prosection at Oxford University, she undertook specialist Ophthalmic training in London and then the Oxford Deanery.
Miss Mellington’s subspecialist expertise in Oculoplastic and Orbital surgery was developed over several years through advanced subspeciality training in Oxford and Buckinghamshire and as an Oculoplastic and Orbital Fellow at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC) and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
Miss Mellington is a full-time Consultant Ophthalmic, Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgeon at BMEC and Honorary Consultant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Miss Mellington was appointed in February 2015 and is the lead Orbital Surgeon at BMEC. She specialises in all aspects of eyelid, lacrimal (tear drainage), eye socket and orbital disease, and also has a weekly general ophthalmology clinic.
Miss Mellington has written a number of research papers relating to Oculoplastic surgery and has presented at several national and international meetings. She has an interest in training and currently supervises an international Oculoplastic Fellow.

All eyelid disease including cysts, eyelid lumps and bumps, chalazia, periocular skin cancer, ingrowing eyelashes (trichiasis), eyelid twitching (blepharospasm), eyelid reconstruction, eyelid hooding (dermatochalasis), eyelid malposition (ectropion; entropion), lower lid tightening, drooping lids (ptosis surgery), droopy eyebrows (brow ptosis, brow lifts), facial palsy restorative surgery to eyelids and brows;
All causes of watering and irritable eyes;
Thyroid eye disease (eyelid problems and orbital decompression);
Patients who have, or want to consider using, an artificial eye;
Orbital disease (including causes of bulgy or staring eyes);
