About me

Jointly appointed as a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Barts Health and The Princess Alexandra Hospitals, Mr Rishi Bhandari has current day to day experience of treating patients for a wide range of Oral and Maxillofacial conditions.

In addition to his “hands-on” clinical duties, Rishi is extensively involved in the education and training of junior doctors at all levels. Leading on a number of surgical training courses, this ensures his own professional skills are constantly updated to reflect current best practice in the areas of surgical procedure and patient safety.

With special interests in Complex surgical tooth /wisdom tooth extractions, TMJ disorders, Excision Biopsy and Reconstruction of lesions to the mouth, head and neck, Facial Trauma and Scar management, his experience has taught that most patients are particularly anxious when it comes to face and mouth surgery - particularly tooth extractions!

Acknowledging this, his philosophy is to run an informative and informal practice, which places patient choice at the centre of its ethos. Achieving this in practice means spending time with you, offering you the appropriate investigations to help fully understand your condition and discussing clearly the range of treatment options available to you, to support you in coming to decisions that are right for you.

Recognised and Fee Assured by BUPA, , the practice never charges “Top Up” fees.

Following the retirement from private practice of Professor Simon Holmes, Rishi has largely taken over his practice and continues to work with Diane his practice manager. Diane has over 12 years experience of managing patient care through private practice pathways and is always happy to talk to prospective patients and referrers alike to discuss how we can best help support you. Do call her on 07590 406700 for an informal chat.
