About me

I work privately with CBTplus and Compass Therapy after a long career with the NHS working a Specialist Psychological Therapist in adult mental health. I treat a wide range of psychological conditions including: Depression, Low Self Esteem, Anxiety disorders (OCD, Panic, Phobias, Health Anxiety and Generalised Anxiety), PTSD and Complex Trauma. I recently was involved in a national research study for PTSD and I specialise in working with people with complex trauma.
I completed my MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through South of Scotland CBT course in collaboration with Queen Margaret University and am accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am also accredited for Cognitive and Behavioural Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP) for the treatment of chronic depression. I worked in Chronic Pain for over 9 years as a Physiotherapist and Psychological Therapist and have a special interest in psychological conditions also involving chronic pain such as Functional Neurological Disorder, Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. I have also been practising Mindfulness for over 10 years and am an NHS approved Mindfulness teacher for both individual and group treatments.
