Mr Punwar graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine (London) in 2001 and was appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon at Torbay Hospital in October 2014. Elective Specialist interests include; Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Sports Knee Injuries as well as minor Hand Surgery.
Mr Punwar understands how disabling hip and knee pain can be. He aims to provide safe, effective treatment to reduce pain and rapidly improve quality of life.
Mr Punwar is a fellowship trained hip and knee specialist, with interests in both joint replacement and sports surgery, as well as general orthopaedic trauma. After basic surgical training in Kent and the London region, Mr Punwar completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the prestigious Bristol rotation. In 2013 he undertook a year of complex arthroplasty and sports injury training in Perth, Western Australia (http://thejointstudio.com.au).
