About me

Beverley Mears Mclin Sci,PG Dip, is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and is registered to practice by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy(UKCP)and holds to their ethical standards. She is in the completion stages of Professional Doctorate at the University of Essex. Her thesis is about the connection between the early relationship with mother, problems with sexual intimacy and OCD.

Having worked within the mental health field for 20 years Beverley currently divides her time between working as Consultant Psychotherapist and Clinical Lead for a Secondary Care Psychological Therapy Service in the NHS, working with patients with severe and enduring mental health difficulties and private practice. Beverley has experience of treating patients using Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Mentalisation Based Treatment, DBT skills and Motivational Interviewing.
