About me

Therapy provides an opportunity to explore issues causing anxiety, stress and concern and an opportunity for self reflection and evaluation. Sometimes we encounter difficulties which are difficult to share with others and can feel overwhelming and out of control. This can be triggered by any number of incidents including bereavement, illness, relationship issues, family issues, self esteem, depression, post natal depression, traumatic events, anxiety, anger or stress management issues or change in circumstances such as divorce or unemployment. Or it maybe a general sense of lack of fulfilment, 'flatness', unhappiness or anger without being able to identify the cause. Counselling can help you work through these difficult feelings, identify the source of your distress and help set you back on a more positive path

Making the decision to come to counselling is a valuable investment in yourself, creating an opportunity to work towards positive change. As a counsellor and psychotherapist I provide a safe and confidential environment to support self-exploration, insight and awareness; working towards making sense of the issues which maybe causing emotional distress and anxiety. As an integrative practitioner I am able to draw on a number of approaches including psycho-dynamic, Gestalt, humanistic, developmental, reparative, existential and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when required.
