Dermatologist Dr Nicola Clayton MB ChB BSc MRCP (UK) (Derm) is a general dermatologist who treats both adults and children suffering with skin conditions. She has developed a specialist interest in disorders affecting the hair and scalp. Her NHS practice is at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where she has a weekly paediatric dermatology clinic, as well as adult general dermatology, skin cancer and skin surgery. Dr Clayton was awarded the British Association of Dermatologists study fellowship in 2012 which helped fund a 6 month hair fellowship at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology with Dr Catherine Stefanato with a focus on histopathology. During this time she collaborated with Professor Mike Philpott from the Blizard Institute. From this, she presented her work at The World Congress for Hair research 2013, London histopathology Symposium and the American Society of Dermatopathology annual meeting.
