Miss Subash is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital Foundation Trust and is the Clinical Lead for the Retinal Vascular Occlusion Service.
She fulfilled her comprehensive Ophthalmology Residency on the North Thames and Moorfields Eye Hospital rotation giving her the opportunity to spend a few years working in Europe's largest Eye Hospital and gain a vast amount of experience in all fields of ophthalmology including complex cataract surgery. Following on from this she pursued her interest in medical retina with a fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital during which she was also the main impetus for the largest modern day clinical trial addressing diabetic retinopathy and driving vision standards. This has been recently published in a prestigious Ophthalmology journal.
She has over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at both national and international conferences. She is actively involved in training and education and is the educational supervisor for the trainees in her NHS Department and has been the mentor and trainer for the first nurse intravitreal injector at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
