Dr Altamura completed his initial medical education in Italy and he joined the GMC specialist register in 2014. He is a “board certified” dermatologist in both EU and United Kingdom. He has received advanced training in diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers and published internationally recognised scientific articles on this topic. Following his post-graduate training he had a research fellow at the Sydney Melanoma diagnostic Centre; since 2009 he has been working as member of the multidisciplinary skin cancer service at various NHS Trusts. He has a Master degree in dermato-surgery and is European CCST includes Venereology which adds an extra dimension to his professional activity in the area of male genital disorders. He is a member of British Association of Dermatologists and European Accademy of Dermato-Venereology.
Dr Altamura works as Consultant level at Mid Essex Hospital NHS Trust; his professional activity covers the full range of acute and chronic skin conditions in patients from adults through pediatrics.

Early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer-Skin surgery-Mole mapping-Paediatric dermatology- Psoriasis and Eczema-Acne and Hidradenitis Suppurativa.
