I have specialist interests also in revision hip, hip surgery and metal hip replacement bearing outcomes.
MRI knee guidance systems for knee replacement.
I use limited posterior approaches for the majority of hip replacements as I believe this has the best functional outcomes. I avoid the direct anterior approach as, despite many claims, I believe this surgery has now been shown to have significantly higher complications and no differences in outcome.
I practice an enhanced recovery package using local anaesthetic blocks, significantly reducing post operative pain and speeding rehabilitation.
