Dr Dhillon qualified from St Bartholomew’s Medical School, London, in 1998, having previously gained a first class intercalated BSc in Biochemistry in 1994 at Queen Mary and Westfield College, London. He was awarded a prestigious British Heart Foundation Clinical PhD Research Fellowship in 2004 to study Atrial Fibrillation and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at both Imperial College London and University College London. He presented his research at international conferences including as a finalist at The British Cardiovascular Society Young Investigator Competition, and has published his research in high impact peer reviewed scientific journals.
He undertook his clinical training in London, including St Mary’s Hospital and St George’s Hospital before being appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Trust and St George’s NHS Trust in 2013. He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust in 2015 in order to further development in his clinical and academic field.
Dr Dhillon has an interest in all forms of arrhythmia management, in particular ablation of arrhythmias and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators.
Areas of interest
The ablation of rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation and the implantation of cardiac devices
