I am pleased to be undertaking private clinics at the Nuffield Health, Plymouth as a Consultant General, Colorectal and Paediatric Surgeon.
I am very excited about this opportunity, as at present, there has not been a Paediatric Surgeon available to private patients, and I am sure that you will agree, that private patients can now be reassured knowing that we are able to offer general paediatric treatments here at the Nuffield.
With regards to Paediatrics, I specialise in all types of Paediatric surgery, including all types of hernia.
I have twenty-one years of general surgical experience and have completed three years of structured training in general surgical specialities for the award of Master of Surgery. For two years I worked as an Assistant Professor of general surgery in a University Hospital in India. For four years I then worked as a junior specialist in sultanate of Oman. Finally, for the past twelve years I have been working in UK within the colorectal surgery department.
Since 1994 I have been working in General Surgery and have completed FRCS (Gen Sur/Colorectal) and EBSQ (Coloproctology).
Since February 2012 I have been practicing as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in Plymouth (UK) with special interest in laparoscopic colorectal surgeries with active involvement in surgical research. I have completed Lap co training with Lapco Train the trainer program and now actively teach Laparoscopic colorectal surgeries. I have independently performed more than 150 laparoscopic colorectal resections.
In 2014 I underwent General Paediatric surgical top up training from Bristol children’s hospital and started to perform general paediatric surgeries in Derriford hospital, Plymouth.
My main clinics are every Wednesday from 1700 - 1900 but appointments can be made by agreement with my secretary who will contact me to find a suitable date for you.

I have a strong clinical research background and have presented regularly at various international and national surgical forums, including publications and obtained Brendan Devlin award from British Hernia society.

My main areas of interest are general surgery including lap cholecystectomies and lap hernia operations and all types of colorectal surgery
and general paediatric surgery.
I believes in the importance of a healthy work/leisure balance. I am involved in arranging charity programmes to support various charity organisations and have conducted two charity programmes in wales and one in India.
I am also a lead singer of a Bollywood band!
