About me

I am Professor of Surgery and a full-time consultant surgeon with 20 years experience in laparoscopic surgery (keyhole) and liver surgery. I specialise in key hole gall stone surgery and keyhole hernia surgery. I have performed more than 10,000 laparoscopic procedures which includes gall bladder surgery (cholecystectomy) and hernia surgery. This includes inguinal hernias and incisional hernias. I have a special interest in key hole hernia surgery, gall bladder removal and surgery for groin pain, groin strain or sportsmans hernia. I have been on the faculty of many international hernia congresses both in Europe and the USA. I run a hernia course 3 times a year teaching other consultants how to perform safe laparosopcic surgery.
