About me

Mr Hanbury qualified in 1980 from The London Hospital and did sub specialist urology training in Cambridge, Norwich and Oxford before taking a consultant appointment at Lister Hospital, Stevenage where he has been since 1994. His clinical interests are in general urology, specialising in open and laparoscopic renal (kidney) surgery predominantly for cancer. He is also interested in stones, urinary tract infection and reflux. He was part of the EAU Guidelines Group for Renal Cancer from 2005-2011 and held Clinical Director roles at the Lister Hospital for three periods. He served as Regional Representative for BAUS from 2013-2016 and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. Lastly he was a Trustee of BAUS from 2014 until 2017
