About me

Andre Jackowski is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon in Birmingham. A past Clinical Director of Spinal Services at the prestigious Birmingham Spinal Centre of The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham he is the lead spinal surgeon at the private Birmingham Spinal Clinic. He has been a Consultant Neurosurgeon in Birmingham since 1991. A recognised expert in spinal surgery he was cited in 2011 in the Times Magazine’s prestigious Britain’s Top 50 Surgeons guide. He is the current President of the Cervical Spine Research Society- a European wide society of specialists in spine surgery.

Born in Cheshire, England he qualified BSc (First class Honours) and MB BS from University College Hospital in London in 1980. He completed his neurosurgical training at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queens Square London and Charing Cross Hospital London. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1985 and completed a higher degree, a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) at University of London, in 1990.
