About me

Dr Mann is a Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological surgeon, and is currently skin cancer Lead at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, home of the largest dermatology department in Essex. He studied medicine at University College London (UCL) and undertook his postgraduate training in London and Kent. After specialising in dermatology he completed the highly competitive and selective Mohs micrographic surgery and laser fellowship at the internationally renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology.

As a Consultant Dermatologist Dr Mann is recognised as an expert in skin conditions, such as rashes, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, moles and skin cancers. His area of special interest is skin cancer and skin surgery. He specialises in Mohs micrographic surgery, a technique in which skin cancers are cut out and analysed with a microscope to ensure all of their roots under the skin have been removed. The precision of Mohs surgery both increases cure rates and limits the loss of healthy skin, enabling superior cosmetic outcomes after the wound is repaired. It is the gold standard for the treatment of high risk basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas.

Dr Mann currently offers Mohs surgery at 204 Fulham Road, Chelsea. He hopes to develop a Mohs surgery service in Essex where access to Mohs is extremely limited.
