About me

I have been awarded 3 Fellowships in General and Colorectal Surgery, two Fellowships of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in UK and third Fellowship of European Board of Surgery (FEBS).

I am proud to be one of the 25 UK colorectal surgeons who, since 1998, have been awarded (FEBS); this is the only sub- specialty qualification awarded in colorectal surgery across Europe and the UK.

As first or supervising author, I have published review articles as well as papers on innovative surgical techniques in high impact peer reviewed national and international journals. I have also presented my work in several prestigious national and international scientific conferences.

Areas of interest

Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Gastroscopy: for dysphagia, dyspepsia; acid reflux; rectal bleeding; change in bowel habit, diarrhoea; weight loss
In the last three years (2016-18) I have performed more than 4000 endoscopy procedures (1595 Colonoscopies, 1675 Flexible Sigmoidoscopies and 852 Gastroscopies) with excellent Key Performance Indices (KPIs)

Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Keyhole Gall Bladder operation; gall stone disease
I have performed over 1400 such procedures in my career with excellent results. More than 95% procedures performed as day case.
