Mr Jones was awarded the Norman Dott Medal for the most outstanding performance in the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (neurosurgery) exam in 2013.
During his training, Mr Jones spent 3 years as the Rupert Johnson Fellow in Neurosurgery at St George’s and was awarded a PhD from the University of London in 2013 into the role of advanced magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of brain tumours which was funded by the St George’s Neurosciences Research Foundation and a Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship.
Mr Jones was previously the chair of the British Neurosurgical Trainees Association (BNTA) and is a member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons. He completed a Marjorie Newsome Travelling Observership at the Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix in 2015.
