About us

I am a fully accredited (2013) BABCP Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapist and I practice independently under the company name Mind Body Balance Limited and I am currently working towards EMDR Accreditation.

I have 21 years experience as a therapist and nine years post qualification experience as a Behavioural and Cognitive Therapist utilising CBT models and research evidence and practice in accordance with NICE guidelines in the treatment of depression and a range of anxiety disorders i.e. Panic with or without agoraphobia, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, OCD, Specific Phobias and my specialist area is PTSD. Before I trained and qualified as a Behavioural and Cognitive Therapist in 2011, I was employed as a counsellor and I worked for various charitable and public sector organisations in addition to working in the NHS for 11 years in both secondary and in primary care sectors, counselling a. s diverse range of clients i.e. 16 to 80 presenting with a wide range of issues i.e. crisis and suicide assessment and management, RTA, trauma, grief and bereavement, divorce, separation, loss including loss of health, unemployment and work placed grievance, and financial emotional and sexual abuse.

In all of my work I strive to act professionally and ethically to enhance practice and efficacy I attend supervision regularly. developing my clinical experience and skills and to ensure that I deliver treatment to the highest possible professional and ethical standards I comply fully with BABCP CPD practice requirements and I have achieved the awards listed later in this profile .
