Mr Williamson is an orthopaedic surgeon by background, but for over 20 years his practice has related exclusively to spinal problems. He is familiar with almost all spinal conditions, in both children and adults.
Most of his clinical practice relates to the treatment of low back pain and sciatica, He has a particular interest in the treatment of spinal deformity, especially in children, and spinal problems in sportsmen. He regularly sees athletes from Premiership Football Clubs, County and International Cricket teams, as well as other high-grade and Olympic athletes. He is equally at home advising the recreational athlete, and the non-sporting person.
The vast majority of patients with spinal problems are best managed without surgery. With a long experience Mr Williamson is well placed to arrange surgery for those who require it.
