About me

Welcome to my profile. I am a friendly and approachable Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience working in the NHS and private practice, helping clients struggling with a wide range of difficulties, from depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, relationship difficulties amongst many others. I offer morning, lunchtime and evening appointments on Tuesday to Friday.

I feel very passionate about the importance of treating each client individually, developing a good understanding of you before collaboratively working with you to help improve your mental wellbeing and/or achieve your goals. I benefit from being able to offer four main types of therapy that I can integrate flexibly according to your needs, and at any point in your therapeutic journey. I am experienced at delivering Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients to develop coping strategies and techniques to manage their anxiety/depression/addiction, but also at offering longer-term more in-depth Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to clients wanting a better understanding and deeper resolution to their unconscious processes through exploration of their earlier experiences and relationships. I tend to integrate these two therapies using Cognitive-Analytical Therapy (CAT) principles which tends to be at the forefront of my work. I also am fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an evidence-based approach used for many difficulties including trauma and phobias.

Areas of interest

I am a friendly and approachable Counselling Psychologist with specialisms in working with a wide range depressive and anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties or breakdown and addictions. I take a relational approach to my work, looking at the cycles of past and current relationships, and how these interact. I also have an additional special interest in working with post-natal depression, divorce adjustment and trauma (PTSD). I am experienced at delivering Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients to develop coping strategies and techniques to manage their anxiety/depression/addiction/trauma, but also at offering Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to explore more deeper rooted struggles. I benefit from being able to integrate these two types of therapies flexibly according to your needs, and at any point in your therapeutic journey. I use Cognitive-Analytical (CAT) principles and tools and am fully trained at using EMDR.
