About me

Joannis Constantinides FRCS(Plast)(Ed), MBA is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals and St Mark’s Hospital for Colorectal Disease in London. He graduated from The University of Patras Medical School, Greece and after basic surgical training in Wales and the Midlands and the award of an MBA by Aston University, was appointed to the Merseyside Plastic Surgery Training Programme in Liverpool. Following completion of his comprehensive training in general plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, Joannis successfully undertook a microsurgery fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital, London and a senior microsurgery and lymphatic surgery fellowship in Taichung, Taiwan. He has since been appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the two prestigious London Hospitals, and has developed an interest and an extensive experience in breast reconstruction, complex abdominal wall and perineal reconstruction, as well as lymphoedema surgery. Apart from his NHS practice, Joannis consults private patients for reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in London and leads clinical research.
