About me

I am a Consultant Psychotherapist whose main therapeutic orientation is Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT). I hold an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and an MA in Integrative Counselling along with a CQSW Social Work qualification.

I am an Accredited Practitioner and an Accredited Supervisor with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) holding a PG Dip. in Supervision for both CBT and Counselling.

I retired from the NHS 3 years ago from my Consultants post in the NHS to enable me to concentrate on my private practice along with wanting to enjoy more time with her husband and grandchildren. Having over 25 years of experience in working in Mental Health, the main focus of my work is with people who suffer from psychological difficulties following trauma along with working with other psychological presentations such as depression, panic, generalised anxiety, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, loss, health anxiety and stress related difficulties.

I work with people 16 and upwards and will also work with couples. An assessment of a client's particular needs would always be undertaken in the first instance.
