About me
I graduated from the medical school in the year 2000, subsequently have spent 12 years training initially in 'General Internal Medicine' and later in 'Gastroenterology and Hepatology' in various hospitals in the England and Wales, including liver transplant tertiary university hospitals and district general hospitals, thereby acquiring broad knowledge and experience. This was further supplemented by my advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship in Australia. My initial years as a consultant were at Blackpool Victoria hospital and presently working as a lead provider of interventional services at East Lancashire NHS trust. I am also the lead clinician for nutritional related issues in the hospital and lead therapeutic endoscopy provider for 'Lancashire and South Cumbria cancer network'. Nationally, I am the education and media coordinator for UK and Ireland Endoscopic Ultrasound Society and the QI lead for Endoscoic Ultrasound for British Society of Gastroenterology/Joint Advisory Group. I live in Manchester with my wife and two kids.
