About me
Dr Sohail Q. Khan is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at University Hospitals Birmingham. He qualified in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 1999. Dr Khan undertook Cardiology training in Manchester before being awarded the prestigious Boston Scientific Fellowship for advanced coronary intervention training at The University of Toronto/Toronto General Hospital, Canada.
He runs a large clinical practice specialising in all areas of general and interventional cardiology and specialises in the treatment of high risk coronary angioplasty patients using rotablation, and coronary imaging (IVUS, OCT). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and Fellow of American College of Cardiology.

General adult cardiology [evaluation and treatment of chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness and hypertension (high blood pressure)]; Coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty and stenting (PCI), pressure wire assessment of coronary stenosis (narrowings), intravascular coronary imaging, rotablation, coronary laser. High risk PCI with Impella.
