Mr Parker is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in disorders of the foot and ankle. His NHS Practice is based in the foot and ankle and limb reconstruction unit at Bart's Health NHS Trust -The Royal London Hospital and Newham University Hospital.
He qualified in Medicine (BM) in 2002 having graduated from the University of Southampton in 2002 with a distinction in Medical Sciences. He undertook a period of research in the Southampton General Hospital University Orthopaedic Department under Professor Nicholas Clarke. He gained his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS England) in 2006 after undertaking basic surgical training in Wessex.
In 2007 Mr Parker was appointed to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore training programme under Professor Tim Briggs, past president of the British Orthopaedic Association. At Stanmore he trained in the tertiary referral foot and ankle unit working for Mr Nicholas Cullen and Dishan Singh, past president of the British Foot and Ankle Society. He was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr. & Orth.) in 2012 and was entered onto the GMC Specialist Register in 2013.
Mr Parker undertook specialist fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol working for Mr Ian Winson, past president of the European and British Foot and Ankle Societies and British Orthopaedic Association Vice President. He has undertaken travelling fellowships in orthopaedic trauma at the AUVA hospital in Graz, Austria as well as visiting fellowships to assume specialist foot and ankle experience including working with Wolfram Wenz in the limb deformity unit in Heidelberg, Germany. Mr Parker was awarded the 2014 European Foot and Ankle Society (EFAS) travelling fellowship to Switzerland, Belgium and Spain.
Mr Parker has several peer-reviewed publications in international journals and has authored several book chapters on foot and ankle surgery. He has presented his research at national and international society meetings. He is a previous recipient of the prestigious W.J. Little Medal, awarded by the Seddon Society for his research. He is a faculty member on several courses including the Queens and Wrightington hospitals FRCS revision courses and lectures on foot and ankle surgery on the Royal London Hospital regional training programme for orthopaedic surgeons.
Mr Parker is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) and British Orthopaedic Association (BOA).

Currently participating in a multi-centre randomised controlled clinical trial into the effectiveness of platelet-derived growth factors into healing of Achilles tendon ruptures.
Previous research published into the effectiveness of fixation devices utilised in foot and ankle fracture and arthrodesis (fusion) fixations.
Mr Parker’s interests include aviation and wildlife photography. He is a sports enthusiast and was an orthopaedic surgeon to England Rugby 2015.
