I am a Chartered and Registered Psychologist and am professionally registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I have several key areas of focus.
Firstly, working to reduce the symptoms of people experiencing stress, anxiety and other negative experiences. This can stem from single or multiple life events.
Secondly, specialising in health related anxieties, including chronic pain conditions; disabilities and the impact of these.
I also work extensively with children, adolescents and adults who experience difficulties in social situations who may also have a diagnosis of Autism.
My treatment approach is based upon extensive experience in the private and public sectors. I initially qualified as a Forensic Psychologist in 2004. I have then undertaken extensive further training relating to the treatment of trauma and I am an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist for adults and children.
Additionally, I integrate stress reduction techniques including Mindfulness, Clinical hypnotherapy and general wellbeing approaches into my therapeutic practice.
I am qualified and competent to diagnose Autism, using gold-standard assessments.
I am also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor (MHFA England) and can additionally devise and deliver bespoke workshops having also completed coaching and communication skills qualifications.
