About me

Joanne Wright is a Chartered and Registered Psychologist and is professionally registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has two main passions. Firstly, working to reduce the symptoms of people experiencing stress, anxiety and other negative experiences. This can stem from single or multiple life events. Secondly, she also specialises in working with children and adolescents to empower change.

Her treatment approach is based upon extensive experience in the private and public sectors. Joanne initially qualified as a Forensic Psychologist in 2004. She has then undertaken extensive further training relating to the treatment of trauma and is an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist for adults and children.

Additionally, Joanne integrates stress reduction techniques including Mindfulness, Clinical hypnotherapy and general wellbeing approaches into her work.

Joanne is also qualified and competent to diagnose Autism, using gold-standard assessments. She also provides treatment and support to children, adults and families with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Joanne is equally comfortable devising and delivering bespoke workshops and has completed coaching and communication skills qualifications.
