About me

General Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who specialises in all problems of disorder of emotion, behaviour, learning, development and relationships as they affect children, teenagers, and young adults at home, school (or university) and outside .

I have been a medical practitioner for over 25 years. I hold specialist qualifications from the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry, and from the Royal College of Physicians in Paediatric Health.

Areas of interest

Some general child and adolescent psychiatrists may also have a field of special interest in which they offer additional expertise. My special expertise is in developmental psychiatry which includes amongst other things autism, Asperger Syndrome, ADHD , Intellectual Disability and Learning Difficulties and I see people of all ages for these. I receive direct referrals through the National Autistic Society (as one of their medical experts), and from paediatricians, psychologists, adult psychiatrists as well as GPs. I have taught, lectured and published research in neurodevelopmental psychiatry.
