About me

In 1999, Dr Kamalnayan Gupta qualified in medicine and surgery and was awarded the MBBS Gold Medal. After a meritorious selection, he completed the MD programme in Oncology. He went on to obtain the Diplomate of National Boards in Clinical Oncology and was admitted as a Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences. Dr Gupta then obtained MRCP and proceeded to complete higher specialist training in Clinical Oncology at the Christie Hospital in Manchester and obtained FRCR. He was awarded the Royal College of Radiologists' Award and he completed the Proton Therapy Fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Texas, USA.

As a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Dr Gupta works at the Northampton General Hospital & Kettering General Hospitals and additionally, Dr Gupta provides his services at the BMI Three Shires Hospital in Northampton, Spire South Bank Hospital in Worcester and Genesis Care Centre in Milton Keynes.

Dr Gupta has a special interest in Urological cancers including Prostate, bladder, kidney & ureter cancers and Lower GI cancers including Rectum & Colon cancers, and has expertise in all standard and advanced radiotherapy techniques including IMRT, IGRT , brachytherapy etc and in all types of systemic therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, novel agents etc, for all urological and colorectal cancers.

Dr Gupta is the regional lead for Prostate Brachytherapy and maintains a research portfolio via involvement in multiple clinical trials in Principal & Co-Investigator roles. Dr Gupta is the regional Educational lead and Clinical Audit lead and is ASCO's UK representative for the ASCO Learning Cohort and Educational Committee. Dr Gupta has spoken at various National and International Conferences and Meetings.
