About me

I am a Professor of Neurosurgery and a Consultant Neurosurgeon and am an international expert in disorders of the spine. I specialise in treating patients who have spinal cord and nerve root compression in the neck or lumbar spine causing pain, numbness and weakness in the limbs. Most typically these are treated with minimally invasive techniques which allow the patient to go home the following day.

I run courses to train consultants in the US and Europe in surgery to the cervical spine and am the inventor of the Prestige LP Cervical disc replacement.
