- Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy
I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist offering short and long term therapy to individuals and couples. Whether you are thinking of coming to therapy at a time of crisis, or at a time to understand more fully what is happening in your life, talking with a therapist can be very helpful. I will provide a safe and confidential space and support you to explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that may affect the way you think about and relate to yourself and others.
In our first session we will discuss and consider your concerns and any thoughts and feelings you have about therapy. We will think about how we can work together, and what you would like to get out of our meetings. At the same time you will get a sense of how I work and whether or not you wish to pursue further sessions.
I have over twenty year's experience of working with children, young people, adults, couples and families in both the statutory and charitable organisations. I am currently offering private counselling/psychotherapy in North London.I also provide supervision to counselling trainees and teach Systemic Practice to Social Workers. I have worked with women, men, and children/young people, of all ages, ethnicity, backgrounds, and sexuality, who bring a range of issues, questions and concerns.
I have an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling, a PGDip in Systemic Practice; and a Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I am also a qualified registered Social Worker. I receive continuous professional support and supervision.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their guidelines on confidentiality, code of ethics, and Good Practice (http://www.bacp.co.uk). I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), and hold a current enhanced Disclosure Certificate, and full professional insurance.
