About me

I am a fully-trained psychotherapist with 7 years (3,500 client hours) of experience in both general counselling and sexual trauma work. My practice, in Newark, Nottinghamshire, is comfortably and accessibly housed in a Chiropractic clinic in the centre of the town. Although trained in the Person-Centred approach, I also draw upon a range of other psychotherapeutic traditions, including CBT, Attachment, Mindfulness, Existentialism and basic Neuroscience. I see myself as a committed professional, with high ethical standards and a caring, open approach to clients. Responses to my work from fellow professionals and, most importantly, clients themselves are very positive and reflect the beneficial changes I have helped people make in their lives. I am an Accredited Member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
