About me

Jonathan is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine (and Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine) and currently works in professional sport with England Football and in Sport and Exercise Medicine clinics in the UK and Internationally.

He has experience in the management of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries across all age ranges and levels of physical activity.

He has worked extensively in professional sport and aims to apply the same high standards required in the elite athletic environment to all of his patient assessments.

Your assessment and treatment plan will be focused towards your individual goals. Great care is taken in explaining the problem to enhance your understanding. Full access to a range of diagnostics such as same day ultrasound scans, MRI and CT is available. Whilst many problems can be resolved without an operation, Jonathan has close links with surgical colleagues locally and Nationwide.

He graduated from University of Leeds in 2001 and subsequently gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Nottingham where he gained a Distinction.

He completed his specialist training in Yorkshire and was awarded the Macleod Medal for best performance in the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine Diploma exam.

Previous posts in professional sports including working with England Rugby, Team GB at the London Olympics and Australian Youth Olympics, and was he was previously Head of Medical Services for Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie.
