About us

Dr. Becky Quicke works with children (aged 0 - 18 years) and their families to provide independent and confidential support.

Becky has held specialist posts as a qualified HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Manchester, Salford and Staffordshire since 2005. She is now the founder and Clinical Director of Tatton Psychology Ltd, and independent Clinical Psychology practice.

Becky draws upon a variety of psychological knowledge, informed by her formal qualifications, postdoctoral training and experience in attachment, cognitive, behavioural and systemic psychological models and therapies. This allows her to provide the most appropriate and effective support for children and families.

My philosophy:

I embrace the uniqueness of every child and every family and unite this with evidence based psychological knowledge and clinical experience to deliver an expert bespoke service.

I believe that building a trusting relationship with all children and families who I work with is a critical aspect of change; trust and respect are the cornerstones of my working practice.

There are strengths within each child and family and I believe in nurturing resilience as well as encouraging growth of new ideas and new ways of coping.

I have a strong ethical stance and will only provide services which are deemed within my areas of expertise.

My approach:

I can help overcome issues for children and families such as:

Social Anxiety
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Generalised Anxiety/Worry
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Parent-child attachment difficulties
Family relationship difficulties
Behavioural difficulties
Post natal depression

I have specialist knowledge and experience of working with children who have suffered trauma and abuse in their early lives and who may now be adopted, live in foster care or with extended family members.

I will work alongside you and your child to understand what is causing the problems presently. At the end of your first session, I will offer some advice and talk with you about whether we meet again and how many times that might be taking into account the number of authorised sessions.

I don’t see children in isolation and as well as meeting with parents, I will sometimes speak to school teachers and others with your agreement.

I can offer therapies including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy
Relationship based therapies - Theraplay & Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy (DDP)
Behavioural therapy
Systemic family therapy

Additional information:

I believe in providing an accessible service and therefore offer appointments on Saturday mornings between 9am - 1pm.

It can be hard to know whether I will be the right person to help your child. I have a 15 minute chat with all families prior to arranging an appointment free of charge to discuss the issues with no obligation.
