About me

I have spent over 10 years working in a private psychiatric hospital, with a vast range of mental health issues, particularly with anxiety & depression and related conditions. I am also a specialist in eating disorders.

I can help you make sense of the symptoms you are experiencing, track back to where this belief system began and help you define steps for change. If you have a specific problem to work on we will make sense of your response to the challenges you are facing so that you can start to take the steps you need to feel happier in yourself.

Many of the people I work with have lost their sense of self along the way; or can even be unsure about who they were to begin with. Some people feel completely overwhelmed by others, or their current situation, and some experience extreme emotions of anger and/or sadness.

We will work together to understand why your feel the way you do and how you want to be from here. I will give you support with intense emotions, assertiveness, boundaries and self-confidence so that you can feel in control and happier about life.

You will learn to understand and appreciate yourself, and your relationships, far better both during and after your therapy.

I also work with Complex Trauma, with special emphasis on what happens within the brain and the impact of this on life following trauma. We will increase your understanding of this process and work to re-establish a healthy response to external stimuli; so work to reset the brain. It's important to be aware that this is longer term work.
