About me
Badrul Hussain has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital since August 2012 specialising in Cataract Surgery as well as Emergency and General Ophthalmology.
Having qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine with a Distinction in Medicine and the Gordon Holmes Prize for Medicine, he started basic ophthalmic training in West Yorkshire completing this at St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
Before starting higher training at the Western Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, he was a British Eye Research Foundation Clinical Research Fellow working with Professor John Marshall.
Prior to taking up his consultant position, he completed advanced surgical training with Fellowships in the Adnexal (Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital), Emergency and Cataract Services at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
He is currently the Deputy Director of the Cataract Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital as well as being the Trust’s Clinical Coding Lead.
