About me

I’m a fully qualified and certified lymphoedema therapist in the ‘Foeldi’ method, with 11 years’ experience of working in both NHS and in Private Practice. Two years ago I established my own clinic to provide a more ‘holistic’ approach to the treatment of Lymphoedema and lymphological issues. I have 4 years’ experience of working in a private plastic and reconstructive surgery in Wimpole Street, London where I integrated MLD into the surgical care packages for all patients. This meant patient healing times were reduced due to the removal of postoperative swelling more quickly due to the incorporation of MLD in the acute postoperative phase. Patients with established lymphoedema have bespoke treatment plans put in place. These treatment plans include some or all of the following: MLD, Multi-layer bandaging, Skin Care, Education on how to do SLD (simple lymphatic drainage that you do at home), Prescriptive exercises, CanRehab exercise classes and nutrition advice. With all these elements combined, treatment outcomes are improved.
Any new patient is invited to attend an assessment appointment, where a full medical history is taken and a bespoke treatment plan is put in place, specific to the individual patient and their presenting condition.
I am a member of BLS (British lymphology society) MLDUK, LSN (Lymphoedema support network) and ILF (International lymphoedema framework)

Areas of interest

Lymphoedema: post cancer surgery patients who have had lymph nodes removed:- breast cancer, prostate cancer, gynaecological cancer, head and neck cancers benefit from having MLD. Some patients experience swelling while having chemotherapy; some experience swelling during and after radiotherapy. These are prime times to have MLD to not only reduce swelling, but it will help you relax. Patients who experience onset of established lymphoedema have better outcomes if treatment commences asap.
