About me

I understand that clients come to counselling feeling anxious, stressed or having relationship problems. My aim is that what ever the situation you can share your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental, confidential setting. Sharing the problems and exploring thoughts and feelings can lead to a deeper understanding of your issues.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help you to understand the link between thinking, feelings and behaviours and is especially helpful with trauma, childhood trauma, worry, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, stress, specific phobias, social phobia, Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), health anxiety and many other issues. CBT enables you to overcome your anxiety and depression. Anxiety is treatable thinking about things in a different way can help you to develop strategies and develop new perspectives.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.

I have extensive experience working with young people over 12 years and adults.
