About me

I am an experienced Chartered Clinical Psychologist and a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist. I have a wide range of interests in mental health difficulties. My principal therapeutic approach is CBT, including mindfulness-based therapies, and I am also trained, and accredited, in EMDR for adults. I have also completed Parts I and II EMDR training for working with children and adolescents.
Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2003 I have worked at:
Birmingham Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (2003-2005)
Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (2007-2015)
University of Birmingham, Clinical Psychology Department (2006-2010).
I currently work 3-days per week in independent practice offering assessments and therapy to children and adults of all ages. I also provide supervision to other professionals.

Areas of interest

Anxiety disorders (panic, OCD, generalised anxiety disorder, agoraphobia and specific phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, PTSD); depression and other mood disorders; developmental trauma; attachment/interpersonal difficulties.
Age range: 8-80+.
